Howells & Hood

Yesterday at work we celebrated a coworkers birthday with lunch outside at Howells & Hood. This restaurant opened last month and is in the lobby level of the Tribune building. This place is a sister restaurant to Pour House, Sweetwater and The Boundary. And for a bit of history, Howells and Hood are the last names of the architects who designed Tribune Tower.

Howells & Hood has a huge outdoor space that can seat 300 people and has an outdoor bar. This was such a great lunch spot, and would be even better for happy hour. They have a serious love affair with beer and have over 114 local and global beers, and work with many local craft beer distributors. And happy hour could get even better because you can bring all your friends - there are two tables in the outdoor patio area that can seat up to 16 people. This was a nice kick off to the summer weather and I definitely recommend paying a visit.
